Exotic Animals Brought Odie Back

Happy Saturday everyone and yes, Odie is still alive and kicking.  Today was a very special day as it was the first time in what seems like ages since Linda and I have taken a road trip together.  The day started with an awesome meal at one of our favorite restaurants, IHOP.  I can't believe I ate the whole thing and it sure was good.

We left there and went to the quaint little town of Pinetops, NC or at least on the outskirts to visit some new friends I recently met on Facebook.  The Abrams family are gracious and so kind as they took time to take Linda and I around to get one on one with some of the most adorable animals we have ever seen.  The Exotic Animal Exhibit is there for a variety of reasons.  First of all is the love that the Abrams family has for all animal especially the unique.  Some of the animals you will see in the pictures I took are: Zebras named Joey and Zorro, a miniature Zebu Bull named Bently, a miniature donkey named Rachel Ray, Polly the teacup pig, Little Lady a 27 inch dwarf horse, 2 pigmy goats named Blondie and Baxter, Archie the Patagonian Mara Cary, and 4 Alpacas named Cicero, Rambo, Marty & Alphy.

I hope you enjoyed seeing lovely animals including the last one which is one of their very friendly dogs that kept us entertained.  Bobbie Jo Abrams and her family encourage everyone to visit their farm and learn about their amazing creatures. As well as walking you through the farm exhibit they can bring their animals to birthday parties, social events, school field trips and welcome the chance to share their 4 legged family with you.  They are located at 3238 Highway 111 South, Pinetops, NC  27864 and can be reached at 252-266-7974.

I assure you Linda and I will be back before too long to love on those animals again.

  2. Hey, Odie! I remember you! (LOL) You know how much I love animals and this post was a real treat. The animals all look well cared for and you took some excellent pictures of them. It's too bad you didn't take Rocky and Soffie along. They would have gone bonkers around all those exotic beasts! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, good buddy!

  7. Seeing these animals reminded me of a trip to the Royal Easter Show many years ago where we saw some of these beautiful creatures.
