We were fine out in the country where we live but the city was not so lucky with large area flooded and one street with a huge section washed away.  Also the interstate between exit 171 where the big theater is and the 173 main Roanoke Rapids exit was closed to north and southbound traffic causing massive rerouting of traffic down highway 301 and highway 903 which is the road I live on so we saw never ending traffic go by our house.  Haven't seen anything like this since the enormous flood in Rocky Mount back in 1999.

  2. I didn't realize you guys got hit with storms and floods. I'm glad you and your family are safe and sound, Odie. I hope you were able to keep Soffie off that busy 903. The weather is going downhill in my neck of the woods and will be miserable all day tomorrow. Isaac's coming and is expected to bring tropical storm force winds and heavy rain to Tampa Bay and the rest of "The Suncoast" as well as interior Central Florida where I live. The RNC's schedule has already been disrupted and modified as a result. Have a safe and happy week, good buddy!

  3. Hi Odie. Good to see a post from you today my friend. SO glad that you and your family are okay, but really feel for all those affected by the awful flooding. It must be a horrible experience. It would seem that the weather is all out of kilter all over the world at the moment. Take care.

  5. If it isn't on fire or blown away, it's washed away. That was a serious rain cloud.
