The Fabulous Five

Let me introduce you to a rare photo of the "fabulous five" taken this week during a family gathering. From left to right are my Aunt Doris, Aunt Eleanor, Aunt Daisy Mae, Uncle Lester and Aunt Katie. Ranging in age from the youngest Aunt Doris at 82 to Aunt Katie at 102.

They are an amazing bunch and to be around them for a few minutes is a rewarding experience listening to them recount the details of long ago with crystal clarity. These are my dad's brother and sisters and I am still learning things about my dad that I never knew. I am truly blessed.

We stopped at Harris Teeter on the way home and I just had to take a picture of this cute doggie cake they had for sale. I won't charge you any extra for this picture.

Surprise family reunion

Yesterday Linda & I decided we needed to visit my Aunt Katie since we had not seen her for a couple of weeks. She as i hope you remember is 102 and still living by herself and active.

When we got there we were excited to find two of her sisters & two of my cousins there as well. I may get it wrong but one of her sisters, Doris is 80 and Daisy Mae is 92. Uncle Lester was there too and he is almost 94. Also along for the visit were Ramona & Diana who I had not seen for a couple of years. My cousin JD popped in briefly.

Needless to say it was a fun time time for all of us with lots of laughs and catching up. I took pictures but before we left home a virus took over our main computer so I am two finger pecking this blog on Linda's "little" notebook. I promise to post the pictures first of the week.
