It will be a fairly long recovery and during all that she will have the added problem of getting my grandsons shuttled to wherever they need to be. Her husband's job mostly keeps him out of town so he will not be around and his mother has cancer and is battling an infection in a leg she broke a long time ago. As they say, when it rains it pours. Please keep Rachel's family & her mother in law in your prayers.
Hi Odie,
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are going up for your daughter Rachel and all your loved ones. We are still waiting for my husband's kidney stone to pass. The Urologist says the latest x-ray shows it has moved to far down for any other remedy. Another complication, the Dr discovered a spot on his kidney that is not supposed to be there. Have to wait for the stone to pass to see what that is all about.
Life can be full of unexpected twists and turns. I'll be thinking of you and yours and keeping all of you in my prayers.
Hugs~
Please give Rachel our love and tell her we will be pulling for her. It's not going to be easy, but thankfully, it's not permanent and she WILL heal and have her life back once the recovery phase is over. I am so sorry to hear about her MIL, too. This is not an easy time for any of them! And, I can well imagine how concerned you are, Odie. Wishing you strength and sending love.
ReplyDeleteBig hug xoxo
Oh my dear, I hope all will be well! I will be thinking of you and Rachel, stay strong! I will pray for you!
ReplyDeleteOh, Odie- my prayers are definitely with her and the rest of the family. Please keep us posted on her progress-
ReplyDeleteI will keep them in my prayers, Odie. I'm so very sorry your family is facing these hardships!
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of positive vibes and hope the operation goes without a hitch XXX
ReplyDeleteOdie, I broke my right leg in the exact same place when I was pregnant with my littlest, 2 years ago. (I have a rod, a large screw that goes all the way through and about 8 little screws in my leg) I was pregnant, and homeschooling 4 kiddos on crutches and a wheelchair. It was the longest couple months I've ever lived. Not the pain, just the things I couldn't do, it was awful and so humbling to let others help me.
ReplyDeleteI hope she has people who can bring her meals--church? Another thing I used was a local grocery store's delivery service, it cost a little extra, but so worth it. One of the hardest things for her is also the fact that it is her right leg, which means no driving!!! That was sooooo hard!!!
Wish I lived closer, we'd bring her meals all the time!!!
Prayers going out to her and her family!
Could you email me her address, I'd love to send her a care package!!
Odie, I am so sorry this has happened to your daughter. I will be praying for her and her mother-in-law. I hope she has friends who can help.
ReplyDeleteOdie, oh my goodness! Please know, all of you, that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteHello Odie,
ReplyDeleteI've seen you around some of my favourite haunts (Mynx & Barb, to name two) and I just wanted to add my thoughts here for your daughter, Rachel.
Having helped my brother go through a serious ankle surgery two years ago I can, somewhat, relate to this situation. It's tough, but recovery can be quite positive and successful.
I hope all works out. Even though it is a long recovery, if Rachel follows her Specialist's advice she will be up and around before you know it.
I'll keep Rachel, and all her family, in my talks with the universe.
Stay positive,
Jenny
Hi Odie. My prayers will be offered for Rachel and I pray that the operation will be a success. I hope that she has friends that will be able to help her with the boys. I'm sorry to hear about Rachel's mother in law as well. They say it never rains but it pours my friend!

ReplyDeleteSending you and your family hugs and positive energy. Hope she is on the mend soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Odie for the update. I wish I lived closer because I would be able to help Rachel with driving and other things like meals or entertaining the boys. If there is anything I can do from this distance besides pray please let me know. It's so tough to have serious injuries and go forward with all the things that life throws our way. Keeping Rachel in the light and her mother inlaw as well. Have a good week my friend!
