When she was young
One of my all time favorite musicians has to be Barbara Mandrell and this video is one when she was young on Johnnie Cash's show doing what she does best. I hope you enjoy it. Brings back happy memories for me.
I remember this early performance, Odie. My parents and I always watched Johnny Cash. Remember Maureen (Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!) McCormick portraying Barbara in the TV movie Get to the Heart?
Over in England, I have never heard of Barbara Mandrell, but I seem to have missed a treat, going by that video clip. She certainly is (?) a talented lady. What an amazing instrument that is!
We've obviously been aquainted with Johnny Cash, through his movies and music even here in SA, of course, but I don't recall ever hearing about Barbara Mandrell. I've also never seen a string guitar, but she certainly knew how to play it with plenty of enthusiasm and confidence. She was a pretty young lady, to boot :)
I love her too Odie - and I miss the Mandrall Sisters show - or was it the Barbara Mandrall show with her sisters. I loved watching that.
