Happy Thursday to all my friends in the blog world. Today I am thankful for a couple of days off from the office making it a long weekend. Of course it's not all fun and games. You see for many years I have worn a full upper plate in my mouth. A few months ago it developed a crack which I have been able to stabilize with super glue.
Well, I figured it was time to take care of business so I found this place in Rocky Mount that would take it one day and have it back to me either that day or the next so, not wanting to be at my office with no upper teeth in, I took this opportunity to get it repaired.
That means another couple of Rocky & Odie days which sounds pretty good to this old boy. The off time will allow me to get into the book I just got written by Karen Walker, one of my blog family, titled "Following The Whispers". Under the title it says, "Creating a life of inner peace and self-acceptance from the depths of despair." She is a wonderful writer and I encourage you to check the book out at Amazon. Com. They have some really good deals on it.
Have a good one folks.
I have a partial with two teeth on top and I know what that's like. You don't dare want to be seen without.
ReplyDeleteNice! I hope it gets fixed in time. :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off and I hope you find lots of value in that book, Odie!
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds really good, Odie. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip and take it easy today!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest. Just think...at least you don't have to clean your set of upper teeth :)
ReplyDeleteSuper to have time to really get your bottom row of teeth into a good book. I must admit it sounds as though it has the makings of a rewarding read...let me know what you thought of it, once you're done and I'll look out for a copy here :)
Odie is probably over the moon to have you all to himself again, even sharing you with a book, because he can just cuddle up beside you and sleep contentedly while you read!
Ahhhhhh Odie and Rocky time is always nice :) Enjoy.
ReplyDeletei hear you on this one! i sneezed once while standing in front of a state trooper and i'm glad i covered my mouth cause i had to catch my upper plate as it flew out of my mouth:)
ReplyDeleteRocky will be over the moon to be spending time, just the two boys again!! Yes, Odie, please let us know what you think of the book once you've finished it. Enjoy your time off work my friend.
ReplyDeletehave a good time while you are off. I have uppers where one tooth would always break off and I would have to get another tooth put in. I finally broke down and got a new upper plate last year. I see people go without their teeth and I really do not know how they stand it. I cannot do it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off reading! I am going to go and check out Karen's blog and book! - G
ReplyDeleteYou fixed something tht goes in your mouth with superglue? Yikes! I hope you did't get hurt!
ReplyDelete-Bridget

ReplyDeleteHey Odie,
ReplyDeleteGlad you have some time with Rocky:-) Let me know how the book is. Sounds interesting. Also tell Linda that I will try a bit of sugar on my next tomato sandwich. Can't wait.
Take Care
Kathiey:-)
Hi Odie,
ReplyDeleteSuperglue is something I would have tried. I'm glad you are able to take a break and enjoy a good book. How lovely that you chose one written by a fellow blogger.
