Yes, this is how Soffie reacts when she think Linda (mama) is about to come in the back door, rising to get a better look.

A new sea creature in my daughter Rachel's salt water aquarium, not sure what it is.

Love the way the Azaleas are in full bloom now taken before the big frost we just had.

Wish I could say I took this.  Was taken by a photographer in Australia. Our railroad tracks seems to mostly be rusty where this one captures the sky in it's reflection. Using it as my desktop picture until something else inspires me.

Picture painted my friend (Mynx) in Australia. She hasn't been doing this very long but there is no doubt that the talent was always there. 

Leaving you with a funny to start your weekend off with a smile hopefully. It is a beautiful day here in NC with temps that started at 35 degrees (F) but should rise to over 80 before the day is over. Have a great one everyone.

Saturday Randomness

Recent shot of Soffie checking out the groceries. See she has filled out a lot from the first shot I took of her.

The area where I took the shot of the reflective trees also had this calm but pretty waterfall.

Also at the pond was this simple pedestrian bridge over a ditch

At the State Employees Credit Union in Murfreesboro, NC where I delivered a shredder had a display of bird houses for sale.

I may have shown this before but it is one of the interesting things in this part of the state where I live. An underground walkway that literally goes under Hwy 301 in Weldon, NC and comes out on the other side. 

It is near a recreational area with lots of playground equipment for children so I'm sure it has been used many times.

First Video Attempt

Was outside with Rocky and Soffie this morning so I tried a video that for some reason doesn't seem to have sound but you'll get the idea and hope you don't get dizzy from my movements.

If anyone had any doubts

Now is that a picture of togetherness or what? Sharing Linda was really a mile marker for this pair.

Turns out Soffie is well trained to let us know when she has to go outside even when it's cold and quickly do her business and then scratch on the door when she's done.

Have a blessed weekend everyone and stay warm, it is 32 degrees (F) in NC. But then we are unique, by this afternoon we will have to have the AC on.

Soffie made it inside

For all of you that were hoping that Soffie would end up in the house with Rocky this is your day. While she is inside she is content to just lay on the floor near one of us but a little while a go Linda's daughter Beth asked her to get on the couch with her and that's all it took.

Earlier today we were preparing to leave for her brother's place and when she opened the car door Soffie immediately jumped into the passenger seat, curled up and put her head down ready for a ride. We didn't take her but she sure must have taken trips before in a vehicle.

I will be taking her to Pet Smart tomorrow morning for her grooming session so more later....

Update on Soffie

The wheels are turning toward getting Soffie settled. Today she will get her rabies shot and a dogloo is being delivered today and hopefully it will fit nicely on the back porch.

Friday, courtesy of Linda's mother behind us Soffie will get a ride over to Pet Smart and get the pampered treatment with a wash, ear check and trim. So things are looking up for this happy little girl.

Thought I might need just a little clarification about "Soffie's" status. We are trying our best to care for her but she will not be an inside dog. Rocky will always be the only inside pet but so far he interacts well with Soffie when outside.
