Winter Wonderland or Not

Cardinal on our back porch searching for food.
Storage shed and scene along the woods.

Early morning scene looking across the back yard to my mother in law's home.

Accumulation on our porch rail and Beth's car encased in snow.

Beth's car looking pitiful.

Pretty but oh so cold.

Evergreen bearing the weight of the snow.

Parking lot in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Dangerous to walk on.

More of the Roanoke Rapids parking lot.

Will be bad all day.

  1. Wow this was some storm. NJ is buried so I told my Mom to just sit tight and don't worry about the damn car. This is treacherous for elderly folks as well as young ones. And to think winter just began last week....Yuck!

  2. Reminds me of my youth in Pennsylvania, Odie. I always loved those big snow storms but I was in the minority. No snow down here in Florida. All we have as a result of this latest noreaster is cold, windy weather. Take care. Stay warm!

  3. Love your snowy scenery. We have some lingering snow, but it usually waits until I have an appt I can't miss. Mother nature is just not on my side anymore. She picks on me.
You stay warm and have a happy new year.

  4. Love the snow - but can't believe NC got that much. My brother in law and his family are arriving today from there and now I am wondering how long will it take them. Eeek.

    Stay warm and safe!

  13. Wonderful, snowy photos Odie!! Gosh, I think you had more than us. Must have been quite some snowstorm. When we arrived home in the early hours, our snow had all gone. But it does look SO pretty. My husband would have loved to see the Cardinal. We get all sorts of birds in our garden.
