Surprise family reunion

Yesterday Linda & I decided we needed to visit my Aunt Katie since we had not seen her for a couple of weeks. She as i hope you remember is 102 and still living by herself and active.

When we got there we were excited to find two of her sisters & two of my cousins there as well. I may get it wrong but one of her sisters, Doris is 80 and Daisy Mae is 92. Uncle Lester was there too and he is almost 94. Also along for the visit were Ramona & Diana who I had not seen for a couple of years. My cousin JD popped in briefly.

Needless to say it was a fun time time for all of us with lots of laughs and catching up. I took pictures but before we left home a virus took over our main computer so I am two finger pecking this blog on Linda's "little" notebook. I promise to post the pictures first of the week.

  1. You must have felt like a spring chicken in that crowd, Odie, the baby of the bunch! (LOL) I look forward to seeing the pics when available. Have a great Sunday!

  2. What a wonderful surprise to meet up with all those relatives, Odie. My goodness, your aunt must be fantastic to still be living on her own at 102, and the others are no spring chickens either!! Brilliant! Yes, you must have felt like a mere youngster, as Shady quite rightly said. Really looking forward to seeing the photos!

  3. Sometimes the best times are unplanned. Good for you for going and getting to see family. I like that.

  4. Oh, that sounds like so much fun! The stories all those people must be able to tell, fascinating! I adore the name Daisy Mae, it sounds like a wonderful old-fashioned name and makes me think of simpler times long ago.

Great blog button! Have you thought of using Entrecard?

All my best and thanks again for all your sweet comments on my blog,
    Dagmar
