Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for the newness of life and the promise of spring found in our Bradford Pear Trees. My area is literally covered with them and they are all in full bud at this time and in a day or two they should be in full bloom like the ones above taken from Googles picture bank. It's amazing how something this simple could have such an impact on how I feel but it sure does. Praise God from whom "all" blessing flow. Praise Him all creatures here below

  1. Odie, I am so jealous!! We have Bradford Pears here too, but they will not be blooming for a good while, at least the end of the month I am thinking. Raquel

  2. It doesn't take a Rolls Royce to make people happy, Odie. All they need to do is stop and smell the roses and behold the budding pear trees!

  3. Oh Odie, I do so agree with you. Everything is just starting off afresh right now, and in a couple of weeks it will all be looking wonderful. Praise Him indeed for the beauty of all His creation. Hope all is well with you my friend.

  5. It will be time for the cherry blossoms [in DC] to bloom soon. One of my favorite things to see near us.

I am ready for some spring!

  6. No blooms here yet but I'm waiting (and none too patiently!) I love the Bradfords as well. Also the forsythia, which also signify spring to me and the cherry blossoms. It is definitely a natural mood elevator! Thanks for the pix and the reminder to hang in there!

  8. Bradford Pears are beautiful, but they stink so bad! The first time I had them close to me, I marched over to the Apartment Office and asked them what the tree was called. she said why? I said, "Because I need to know so I don't accidentally plant them in my yard one day. They stink!" Glad you are enjoying them.
