Thankful Thursday

My sweet wife, Linda and our precious Rocky. If I didn't have these two in my life I would be one messed up old man. All Linda has to do is hear me say anything about something or somewhere I like and before long she has made arrangements for me to have an item or travel to the place I desire. She is always doing for or thinking about others and is definately my better half because without her I would be one sad critter.

Our little "man" Rocky the element that truly makes our house a home. His unconditional love to both of us can add calmness to the worst possible day. The only thing he really requires is love and we are overflowing with that for him. When we return after being gone for either an hour or a week he greets us with such enthusiasm that in the excitement he pees wherever we are at the moment so we do try to choose our point of contact.

So today I am thankful for my constant companions that make my life richer and full of joy.

  1. Aaaw, Odie, that is such a lovely post for Linda and little Rocky, and what a delightful photo of the two of them together. I am so glad that you have both of them in your life. Linda does sound like a special person who cares for and loves you very much, to do those things for you. What more can one ask for?!
Lovely post, and I'm sure that Linda thinks that she's a lucky lady to have Odie in her life too!!

  3. A dog adds so much to your life. My Toto used to pee submissively whenever somebody walked in the door. Eventually she outgrew the habit but she retained her boundless enthusiasm for human contact. We can learn a lot from dogs about resilience and indefatigable optimism. Have a wonderful Thursday, Odie!

  4. Such a sweet post, Odie!
I feel the same about my husband, son, and our dog. What would life be without the ones who truly love us? I hate to even imagine.
Have a wonderful day with Linda and Rocky!! :)

  6. This post was so full of love that I'm still smiling. If we do nothing but experience love in our lives, I think it's enough. Our new dog, Ozzie, who was rescued from living "free and in the wild" for the first three months of his life, was so nervous to be in our home with people that he peed in the dining room every day for the first month. We have since ripped up all the carpet in that room and are putting in a hardwood floor.

  7. What a sweet tribute to your wife! What would we do without our loyal furry friends and family who provide us with endless unconditional love? Like you, I think I'd be a mess. Happy Thankful Thursday! - G

Dogs are wonderful too. I love playing with my little one on the bed with a sock. She is just a ball of fun.
