Rest in Peace Max 1995 - 2011

This will be a sad post my friends. I received a call from my middle daughter Karen (puppy kisses) this afternoon letting me know that her oldest cat, Max died today. In August he would have been 17 and for years he and his constant companion Sassy who is about the same age have shared a room upstairs at their home in southern NC just being pampered.

Needless to say Karen is quite upset since she had to carry Max to the Vet when she noticed he could not stand on his own and the decision was made to put him down. She brought him home and will be burying him on their property. Her immediate worry now is that Sassy will be affected by Max not being there and possibly cause him health issues.

It's times like this when I wish we were not so far from each other as it takes over 3 hours to drive from my house to hers. All I could say was that I was sorry and I love her.

  3. I know that Karen will read this so I would like to tell her how sorry I am that she had to go through this painful ordeal. Letting go of a beloved pet is very hard, especially one that has been a part of your life for many years. I hope that Sassy will be able to adjust to this loss along with Karen.
