You Ain't Gona Believe This Shit

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse I am proved wrong again. Linda & I are used to sleeping on a queen sized bed but was making do with the smaller one in her mother's house. There was enough room to lay but that was about it. I was literally on the edge. Unknown to me Linda got up during the night to get into the recliner which made her knee feel better. I was still at the edge thinking she was with me when somehow I managed to fall over the side of the bed hitting the night stand on the way down busting open my right eye brow which bled like a stuck hog as the saying goes.

Add to this a sinus drainage making my right eye sensitive and watery. Takes me hours to get that mess under control. It didn't help me very much watching this computer sit for extremely long periods of time before the screen would change. Add to that Mr. Blogger not letting me leave comments again really sucks.

10:30 and the only really good part of this day besides being cooler was getting my hair cut. Hopefully my grandson Matthew's party will be OK this afternoon.

  2. What a series of calamities, Odie! I'm so sorry! Please take care of yourself. If you haven't switched to Google Chrome yet you should do it because those who have aren't having any problem leaving comments.

  3. I hope you were writing this with a sense of humor, because it struck me as laugh-out-loud funny. Reminded me of some of the woes we've had while visiting my mother-in-law and trying to sleep on her much too short, laughably skinny-mattressed, lumpy bumpy torture devise known by us as the crappy futon.

Also, I saw your comment on another blog a week or so ago in which you said you were a Vietnam vet. So's my hubby.(Army Infantry) And my brother. (Marine) So, as we do to every Vietnam vet we encounter, I'd like to say "Welcome home!" and a very sincere "Thank you" for your service.

  4. Oh Odie, how awful. The eye area always bleeds much worse because the skin is thin. I can only imagine how much that hurt. You can tell the gang that Linda elbowed you in the night!! haha - sorry, just trying to make you feel better. Hope you both mend quickly. Hugs.

  6. Good grief' I have a bed like that for my guests. I wonder if you can buy 'falling out of bed' insurance. I'll bet you can if they read this. Now look what you started!!! hehe
I have sympathy, just had to rub it in a little.
