Looks like you had beautiful weather for the trip home, Odie. I'll bet Rocky had a good time sniffing around that park. Better check his hide for ticks. A classmate of mine came down with Lyme Disease and it's serious business. I'm glad they have a sign asking people not to carve on the trees since so many were lost in storms. That horseshoe pit reminds me of good times at church picnics and family reuinions. I loved to play horseshoes, quoits and lawn darts.
Glad you're home safe and sound my friend. Looks like you had a gorgeous drive home, with all those stunning autumn colours! That road looked to be pretty quiet, with not much other traffic on the road. Thanks for taking all those photos for us to look at.
I absolutely loved seeing all the sights on your homeward bound trip, Odie. All of the trees bedecked in the autumnal finery, the broad expanses of the waterways, the woodland park. Some really beautiful scenery! The road looked quiet, too which would have added to the overall enjoyment of your trip, I'm sure. I do hope Rocky didn't pick up any ticks, but since you had him on his leash, he would not have gone running off into any bushes. I always tend to panic when our dogs pick up ticks. Thank you for sharing this wonderful drive with us!
What lovely photos Odie. Make me want to visit. As i look out of my dining room window, i see blue sky and mostly bare trees now. But no rain today, which is good!
