Random Stuff

During our Christmas gathering at my daughters home in Rockingham Linda & I stayed at a motel for some quiet away time. Linda was busy taking pictures and caught me reading your blogs on her laptop.
She caught me in a moment of thought while responding to one of the many blogs that I try to keep track of.

I was put to work at Linda's brother Juniors place at her side of the family gathering at Christmas. They had me slicing turkey and Linda's mother was sampling to make sure it was going to be ok for everyone else. Of course it passed her test.

One of the rides at the Christmas parade in Roanoke Rapids, NC on a chilly day.

Attending the parade. Linda's daughter Beth in the middle and Linda's neice Haley with the red hair at the back. The others are their friends.

More fun for the children and adults at the parade.

Imagine how awwwwwwwww Rocky must have felt snuggled in those towels that just came out of the dryer. Is it easy to see that we indulge our Rocky? He is our baby & we love to make him happy whatever it takes.

  1. I love the pics of you, my good friend, and the rest of the family as well. The photo of Rocky warms my heart on this chilly winter day. I don't know how some people can say, "it's only a dog." Dogs are members of the family and deserve all the love and nurturing we can give them because they give so much to us. Thanks, Odie!

  2. Thank you so much for sharing time with your family with us. Made me smile. Rocky looks so content in the warmth of those towels. My daughters dog Morgan loves fresh out of the dryer towels also.
    Take care Odie!

  5. looks like a time well spent. love the rocky picture. too cute. we used to have a yorkie who would get up on the bed and let me cover her up every morning. of course, she slept with us but when i left for work, i had to "put her to bed" for the day. ron was working 3rd shift at the time and she was always right there waiting for him when he got home.

  14. There is just nothing like time with family. The Christmas parade looked such fun, even if everyone seemed to be wrapped in blankets, a bit like Rocky but probably not quite so cosy!
