Farmers Market - Rocky Mount, NC

Very interesting, I saw these tomatoes which are lovely and tasty too later that day in sandwiches. The interesting part is that they come from Sun Burst in Nash County and the other day I was on Kathiey's blog and saw the same sign on her post in Cary, NC and found out that what she saw was the husbands stand while his wife runs the one in Rocky Mount, NC. See Kathiey is you haven't.

Just what everyone needs peas already shelled.

  2. I can almost smell at that fresh produce, Odie! I prefer veggies to meat and I could go on a shopping spree at a place like that. Looks like they even have some cacti and succulents for my collection!

  3. Yum! It all looks so good. We're growing our own tomatoes and strawberries for the first time this year but I stopped at the farmer's market for some the other day, as well, becuase our's aren't ripe yet. I hope you're enjoying your Sunday, Odie! :)

  5. What a pretty Farmer's Market! Everything looks scrumptious. I love going to places like that. We have an outdoor one next to the mall Wednesdays and Saturdays.

  7. What lovely photos - gets me all excited about the pending warm weather season! We're just on the edge of outdoor market season here in Vancouver. For us folks up here, the third weekend in May is the somewhat unofficial opening of the camping and gardening and eating-on-patios and walking-around-in-T-shirts season. I love all the local fresh food that comes out this time of year. Thanks for sharing these pix from your day out! - G

  8. Hey Odie,
Thanks for linking my blog to your post. I am glad you went to the farmers mkt. They are so much fun. We went back on Saturday when my girls were home and picked up some tomatoes and made those wonderful tomato sandwiches. Tell Linda I sprinkled mine with sugar and it was great!!!
    Take care my blogging friend!
