I have this blog friend, Jenna over at Cold Antler Farm up in NY that runs a small farm with sheep, chickens, rabbits, geese, turkeys and a garden. She had a day job as well as running this farm. She and her dogs seem to manage quite well even though them temperatures drop to -13 at times.
Today on her blog she had a video about the benefits of free range chickens given by a gentleman that if you watch, will entertain you and educate you at the same time. I throughly enjoyed it. Take a few minutes to view this and I promise you will be glad you did. Also while you are there you might want to check Jenna's blog out. I am a follower forever.
Thanks Odie - I love her photos! I've thought about getting free range chickens before, but I think that would be a problem with my dog, who apparently enjoys chasing down rabbits and eating them. I'm sure she would discriminate against chickens Haha.
ReplyDeleteI agree Odie. She has super photos on there. We always buy free range chickens and eggs. Have a lovely weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteI always buy free range eggs. I think it is cruel to pen animals up.
ReplyDeleteAs you usually are a good judge of blogdom...I'll go check it out !
ReplyDeleteI used to live in the country and had my own chickens. I miss them now that I've moved into town. Even shop bought free-range doesn't start to compare with real free-range.
