Help me make blogger's lives simpler


Help me get rid of the irritating "captcha" thingy " that makes you type random letters just to leave someone a comment. I have turned mine off and I hope everyone else will. It is a simple step you can do in the settings and make life less complicated for your blog family. Pretty please!!

    i don't mind so much typing in the comments, but it is irritating to leave a comment, have the screen refresh - and i think the comment has posted, only to find out the comment box with the letter thingy is clear back down at the bottom.

    or... it makes me sign into blogger again.

    ugggghhhhh.

    i'll turn mine off tonight.

    Odie, I'll be honest with you. I turned mine off a while back but found myself having to weed out spam messages every day so I turned it back on.

    Well, if Shady got spam, I'm sure to get it. I've had other people tell me that too. I don't really know what blogger spam looks like, but it doesn't sound nice at all!

    I had mine off for a while, when I first started blogging and got too many spam messages, for some reason, it weeds them out to have it on.

    Knowing that, I don't mind typing the stupid code....

    Oh, yeah, I got one spam message where I clicked on it, not knowing it was a spam thing and it gave our computer a virus!!!

    Shady - Oh dear. I had turned mine off after reading your post but, to be honest, I don't fancy getting any spam, or a virus in my computer. I'll have to see how it goes.

    Sorry Odie- but I wont be turning my "captua" off..Too many spammers and people I dont even KNOW leaving rude comments...I'll understand completely if you dont comment on my blog anymore.

    Sorry Odie - I have to go with the others. Mine stays on because I don't want the spam and the chance of a virus. It has already happened once.

    I hope you don't mind because your comments mean so much to me and never fail to make me smile.

    I am with you on leaving mine off. Had them off for ages and haven't had any problems. Another blogger I follow with over 2000 followers also finds them painful. They don't stop me leaving comments and I respect every bodies choices but I do find them an irritant esp when I am trying to catch up on heaps of blogs

    I'm not a fan. I get spam comments once in a while, but they are easy to delete! (and you can generally tell what is spam and what is not).
