Romeo's Dream

Romeo was struck & killed recently by a vehicle in South Africa. Desiree and the family were of course devistated by this but to keep Romeo's memory alive and with purpose there is a fundraising raffle being held to aid the animal shelter there and many businesses has donated some very nice things. You can read all about Romeo's Dream here and if you feel led to participate in the raffle it is there as well. Thank you for going over to learn more and help.

  2. It's a lesson for us all. When we experience a terrible loss the best way to speed the healing process is to take positive action and help others. Thanks, Odie!

  4. Thank you so much for helping to spread the word on behalf of Romeo's Wish, Odie! It is my daughter's fervent hope that the idea will spread around the world, so that people everywhere will give thought to the shelters in their own areas and try to help in any way they can, be it by donating food, toys or bedding. If each person just drops off one item, what a difference it would make to the animals in these shelters.

She also hopes that by becoming aware of what a great puppy Romeo was, more people will choose to get a rescue animal instead of buying from a petshop where the animals are frequently sourced from disreputable backyard breeders or 'puppy mills'!

I hope you're having a wonderful Easter weekend!

  5. Thank you for this beautiful post, Odie, and for spreading the hope of Romeo's Wish around the globe.

I hope that every person who feels touched by Romeo's Wish will begin to make a difference in their own towns - be it to start a fundraiser, volunteer or even just to drop off some blankets and food for shelter animals. It makes the world of difference.

    Happy Easter to you all!
